Honda CB400X adventure touring motorcycle launched in Japan
New body for 2020 while the technical specifications remain the same as the previous model.
Honda has unveiled the 2020 version of the CB400X model. It is available in the Asian motorcycle market. The upgrades feature a new bodywork while the bike is still fitted with the 399cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine developing 45hp and 38Nm of torque.
The 2020 Honda CB400X features a body covered in red accents, camouflage patterns and a blackened theme. Other features such as full LED headlights, adjustable windshield, 7 spoke wheels, suspension setup and dashboard are the same as the previous model. Honda offers two color palettes, namely Matte Ballistic Black Metallic and Dazzling Pearl White.
The entry-level adventure touring motorcycle comes with a dual exhaust system, slip clutch, dual channel ABS and a 5-step adjustable front brake lever. Unloaded, the ground clearance of the bike is 150 mm while the seat height is set at 800 mm.
On the engine side, the 2020 Honda CB400X is equipped with the 399cc liquid-cooled DOHC twin-cylinder engine like its predecessor equipped with the brand’s PGM-Fi technology. The power figures lie at 45 hp at 9,000 rpm and 38 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) announced that the model will remain available in the Asian motorcycle market. Other models will follow such as the CMX500 Rebel cruiser, the CB500F nude-sports, the sporty model CB500R and the CB500X dual-sport.
There is an alternative for this model in other motorcycle markets like the Honda CB500X model which comes with a 471cc twin engine developing 47hp at 8,600rpm and 43Nm at 6,500rpm. It has higher ground clearance and a seat height designed at 165mm and 830mm.
